7th Industry Symposium

7th Industry Symposium

Industry Symposium has been a successful satellite event of ICDCIT series. It started in the year 2011 as an event of ICDCIT and now it is in its 7th edition. The symposium will be held during 13th - 16th January, 2017 in conjunction with 13th edition of ICDCIT. The theme chosen for ICDCIT-17 industry symposium is Webservice. The symposium invites chapters on ‘Webservice: Theory and Practice’. The symposium is tailored to be useful for master, research students as well as industry professionals. The chapters selected by reviewing process, will be included in a book. Like the last two years, the book will be published by Springer (waiting for Springer acceptance).

As society goes more and more digital so the use of Internet increases. Wide availability of Internet has prompted service providers to put services on web so that consumers being on Internet can make use of services on avoiding hassles of traditional business practices. This new paradigm of service based industry being set up on web is called webservice. Service providers deploy Webservices on web  and from it consumers avail those services as per their needs. Sometimes several webservices together meet a consumer needs, such service provisioning is achieved by composition of services required for the purpose. This is called service composition. Looking at the acceptability as well as feasibility of this business paradigm, both academia as well as industry has put efforts in studying theory and technology involved in. The study is in search of approaches for engineering of subservices so that provable quality systems are achievable. In that sense direction the book intended here looks forward for chapters from both academia as well as practitioners on following issues:

  • Service Specifications and Verifications: based on Finite State Machine, Petri Nets, Logics, UML, Ontology
  • Service specification language
  • Service Compositions
  • Service Implementation
  • Service fault management
  • Service metrics
  • Service infrastructures and Applications
