eGovernance: Theory, Technology, Applications and Ethics

Established on 2004, International Conference on Distributed Computing and Internet Technology is a well defined global platform for researchers to exchange knowledge and research findings. Later, the conference has added some co-occurring events keeping the interests of both the researchers and practitioners. Industry Symposium is one of these co-occurring events.

Industry symposium is a link connecting researchers and practitioners in industry as well as other application domain. It believes in putting the concepts in practice to make the knowledge the chain complete as well as fruitful to humankind. Keeping the symposium objective in mind this edition of Industry Symposium has picked of eGovernance – the alternative form of governance making a poise to set in every walk of our lives.

In particular for Indian context, eGovernance has its own importance in making of Digital India. While Governance is considered as a service, eGovernance is a mechanism to deliver this service to citizens in appreciable time as well as cost. Making eGovernence happening is a challenge that needs to be addressed to make the mission a success. The challenge is to be met mainly from three fronts including Technology, Applications and Ethics.

In order to invigorate discussion on the topic, the symposium plans for presentations by selected participants during symposium. It also plans for bringing out a book (Like the last three years, Springer will be approached for publication of the proposed book.)  covering the following topics but not limited to ...
